At Durham Children's Aid Society we require candidates
who have the combination of qualification and
experience that will make them successful in the
child welfare field.
We welcome applications for our service positions
from people with either a Master's or Bachelor's
Degree in Social Work, or a degree or diploma
in other child and family areas, such as child
and youth work, child and family studies or other
related qualifications. We also have nurses on
staff. Those positions require candidates to possess
their RN.
We also require candidates to possess related
experience. Examples of the experience we consider
are:
- Child development
- Behaviour management
- Case management
- Child and family assessment
- Crisis intervention
This is not an exhaustive list of related experience.
You may well possess experience that while not
listed as an example, we would consider as relevant.
Our support positions include areas of qualification
and experience such as information technology
and systems, secretarial, financial, accounting,
and clerical.
Our Human Resources staff will be pleased to provide
an opinion on the relevance of your qualifications
upon receipt of a detailed resume.
